Each year the guild designs and makes a quilt to be raffled off.  Proceeds from the raffle are used to fund the guild's activities, including speaker fees, rent, and numerous other items.  This represents one of the guilds most important sources of income.  The Opportunity Quilt Committee selects or designs the pattern for the year's quilt, coordinates the making of the quilt and manages raffle ticket sales.  Managing ticket sales involves getting the tickets printed, setting up sales venues (i.e. JoAnn Fabrics, Trolley Festival, local quilt shops, other quilds, etc), and distributing tickets to each member of the guild to sell to family and/or friends.  Each year a prize is awarded to the member who sold the most tickets.  The winning ticket is drawn at the Holiday Party,  which is held in December.
