The Clustered Spires Quilt Guild (CSQG) of Frederick, Maryland meets monthly to share a love of quilts and quilt making.
Our guild was founded in 1999 and our members include beginners, experts, and everything in between. We are fortunate to have a membership whose interests run the gamut from traditional quilts to art quilts that incorporate an ever-evolving array of materials and techniques.
CSQG usually meets at 6:30 on the first Thursday of each month at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center. We often host teachers to lecture at our meetings and we usually have a "meet the speaker" reception before the meeting .
Our meetings tend to be lively. While every organization has to have business discussions, we keep this portion of the meeting as brief as possible so we can get on with the fun stuff. A typical meeting includes:
In addition, CSQG sponsors seminars, workshops, community service projects, and monthly sit-n-sew sessions. Check the Calendar page to see what is coming up. While our workshops are opened first to members, we can usually accommodate others.
Whether you just have an interest in quilts and would like to learn more about quilting or are an experienced quilter, we would love to meet you. We hope you will come to a meeting and consider joining our guild.
